Andrew is an avid follower of global water and sanitation issues. After working in Peru, Uganda, Sudan, and Malawi for NGOs and International Agencies he realized that he knew even less about solving global issues related to water and sanitation. In addition to water and sanitation issues, Andrew sees amazing opportunities in using mobile and web-based technology to strengthen social systems in less developed countries. As a PhD student at Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, Andrew plans to combine his background in Environmental Engineering with Public Health tools to investigate the health impacts of water sanitation and hygiene related innovations.
